China is one of the countries with the greatest diversity of wildlife in the world. There are more than 4,400 species of vertebrates, more than 10 percent of the world's total. There are nearly 500 animal species, 1,189 species of birds, more than 320 species of reptiles and 210 species of amphibians. Wildlife peculiar to China includes such well-known animals as the giant panda, golden-haired monkey, South China tiger, brown-eared pheasant, white-flag dolphin, Chinese alligator, and red-crowned crane, totaling more than 100 species.

Wildlife Attractions
The Panda Bear
The Giant Panda is one of the rarest animals on the earth with its unique color pattern. The Panda is strongly built a robust animal with a submissive character and is delightedly charming.
Snow-white migratory bird
Snow-white migratory bird is another attraction of China. It is 1.2m tall red-crowned crane, a glorious patch of red skin over the red-brown head adds lots of attraction towards this aril creature.
The white-flag dolphin
The white-flag dolphin is one of only two species of freshwater whale in the world. In 1980, a male white-flag dolphin was caught for the first time in the Yangtze River, which aroused lot of enthusiasm and excitement among dolphin researchers worldwide.
Tufted Deer
Tufted Deer resembles typical deer species. Tufted deer are just 25 inches in height, the male's are quite small, un branched antlers are almost concealed under the cluster of hair on the forehead. Males also possess long, sharp canines looking like a small tusk over the bottom lip. Male tufted deer probably use these canines in fights with other males.
Serows
Serows are widely distributed in tropical and subtropical Asia, including the mountains of Sichuan. Serow are relatively small creatures, weighing up to 300 pounds, with long tasseled ears, short sharp horns, and short solid hooves.
In Chinese serow means "cliff donkey," but serow are related not to donkeys but to mountain goats.
Flora
Flora - China's treasure also lies in its ample amount of wild plant life. There are more than 32,000 species of plant life scattered over the different parts of the country, grown especially in the Northern Hemisphere's Frigid Zone as well as Temperate and Tropical zones of China.
